Your Phone Can Save Your Life

Your Phone Can Save Your Life

Did you know your smartphone has features that can save your life?  Most people don’t, and those that may have heard of it don’t even have their phones set up for it. Read on to learn how.

iPhone has the SOS feature. When activated it will automatically call the local emergency number. It also proceeds to text a list of emergency contacts you specify in the Health app and immediately provides them with your location and continues to do so for a short time after the emergency call ends.

Samsung has the SOS Messages feature. Samsung takes it one step further by also sending a picture and an audio clip when the SOS feature is activated in addition to the emergency phone call, emergency text message, and location to your preset list of up to four contacts.

But here’s the catch, none of this will work unless you take the time to set it up. Here we all are going about our daily routines with a device that could very well save our life and very few of us have taken the time to set up this awesome feature. The link below does a pretty good job of stepping you through it. I highly recommend you take the few minutes to set it up and learn how to use it.
